I hope Tricia doesn't mind, but her experience touched me profoundly and I feel the only way to do justice is to share it. Maybe her story will encourage someone else to find their Eddie.
During the 3rd dedicatory session of the LDS Gila Valley Temple, Elder Eyring told a story. He said that as a boy, his grandpa used to tell him that he needed to find Eddie. Nothing specific, just to find Eddie. He has lots of family named Eddie who have already had their Temple work performed for them, so he has never known if he has lived up to that promise or not. While listening to this, my friend Tricia had a VERY strong impression that she needed to "Find Eddie". Her husband is a recent convert to the LDS church, and {I believe} is the only member of his family. His dad is a huge geneology buff, so they have a lot of names, dates and other information to enter, and a lot of people waiting to have their work done for them. {In the LDS church, we perform baptisms, sealings of families, and other work on behalf of those who have already passed on, as talked about in the Bible in 1 Corinthians 15:29}
So anyway, her husband's grandpa's name was Edwin, and he went by Eddie. So Tricia and her sister-in-law log into LDS Family Search, and put in Edwin's name, birthdate and parent's information, just to see what would come up. His parents showed up, as did his twin brother Edgar. The rest of the family is there, and they all have their Temple work done for them, but Edwin is nowhere to be found. Tricia clicks into Edgar's information and sees that listed under his known aliases is Edwin and Eddie. Evidently, Edgar's descendants are members of the church and have done all the work they thought was there to be done... they didn't realize that Edgar had a twin brother, Edwin. They thought they were one and the same person.
He had been lost.
Tricia and her sis-in-law were able to fill in the blanks and "find Eddie". I'm not sure if the Temple work has been done yet, but I'm sure that when it is there will be a wonderful reunion on the other side of the veil. How amazing is it that after so many years of being lost, Edwin was able to be found simply because Tricia followed the promptings of the Spirit received through Elder Eyring's desire to "Find Eddie". I hope to someday find my own Eddie and help him or her to find their place in the Eternities. And I hope this inspires you to look for your Eddie too. He's out there. She's out there. And they are waiting for us.

That is a cool story! Andy & I have been going through ours & it's going to be a lot harder than we thought because on all sides of our fam it goes back to at least the 1600s (with all their work being done) & some as far as the 1500s. We have to branch out to great-uncles & such. But we have learned & read some really neat stories. That's been fun!
That is neat! It really is cool when you find someone. I found some names and then when they get done you feel so proud! I love doing that work! I wish I had more time. My kids keep asking when we are going to see our friend that came and played in the snow. I tell them sometime! We really should get together sometime!
