Yeeeah, I couldn't think of a title that didn't sound too cheesy, so that's what came out. Quick! A nickel to the first person who knows who says that! :0)
ANYWAY... Long story why we did, but we started Keahi on baby cereal this week. Just trust me, it was time! The first time Madi had cereal, she LOVED it so we were expecting (I guess hoping) Keahi to do the same... not so much! She wasn't so sure about it and really just wanted her bottle (starvin' marvin over here) so I let her drink most of it and tried again. Plus I changed spoons (not that anyone really cares, but a bit of advice, pass over the little metal spoons with the plastic coat on the spoon part, total waste of time! Get the plastic ones, The First Years brand is great!) and that made a big difference. Over the next few days we remembered and learned a few new tricks for her (1: put the spoon on top of the tongue and let her suck it off, 2: get a LOT on the spoon, 3: don't make her smile or it all comes out!) and now she gets SO excited when we put her in the high chair!
You know, you really feel like a good parent when you go to check on your kid and find this:
I made jam this week, for the first time ALL BY MYSELF! How did it turn out? That's really a matter of opinion... the first batch scalded, the second boiled over but the THIRD was PERFECT! :0) I ended up with 10 pints and 15 half-pints, and have a another box of peaches waiting at my mom-in-law's house! No, we're not jam freaks, we just got some of our Christmas presents finished early!
Now for today's fun happenings - we went to a big hoopla this morning and Madi got to feed a llama, jump in a jumping castle (first one in, last to leave - that's my girl!), ride in a train, get lots of free stuff and see a painting of herself (Jonnet's cousin painted it from a pic she took of Madison last summer). Keahi watched from the comfort of her sling, and actually slept for most of it. Quick shout out for slings - they are WONDERFUL! Truly a back saver, especially if you have a chuck like we do! :0)
That's a wrap!

I think I know where that phrase came from....Pinky and the Brain?!?! Am right, right?!? anyway I was telling Levi how cute your newest little one is and he looks at me weird and said isn't she like 5? I never told him about little Keahi. but I got him up to speed and he just thinks that you and clint are very sweet nice people. He loved the fact that you have such a good relationship with kiki and her family. I love that about you guys too. You two are the nicest people I have known. I am so glad everything is going so good for you...except clint getting stung by a scorpion.
I have no idea where that comes from, but is that really any surprise? Looks like you guys had fun yesterday! But I think Madi needed a friend to ride the train with and jump in the thing with! That's so sweet of her with the B of M! And of course, your jam looks great!
how old are your kids now? They are so cute! And ya, our house is pretty crazy...but super fun! And yeah, the scorpion thing... I really had a good laugh!
I need to try Rebecca on cereal again! She tries to eat everything we eat (or have in our hands for that matter)! I can't believe our girls are getting so big! That jam sure looks yummy! I'm impressed that you did the jam all by yourself! I just hope mine comes from the 3rd batch... just don't know how you are going to get it to me! LOL!!!!
